Maryland Trip -- Traveling, Arriving at the Bennetts and Philadelphia

So....we had an AMAZING trip to Maryland. It was so great to just get away before Jason started school again. Jason let us use some of our tax refund money to take a trip out to see Sheryl and Ian and their adorable family. Sheryl and I are so close as sisters and I miss her so much. It has been really hard for me to have them so far away. Both Sheryl and Ian are just amazing examples and great friends and I love their kids...and the kiddos love Jason so much!

So there will be a few post about this great trip in the next week or so.

Jason and I in the airport...waiting for our flight. Thanks to John for taking us out there :)

In Maryland with the Bennett's! Lizzy showing us how much she loves to dance. She pops her foot up like that without any coaching from anyone!

Blake being a good brother and dancing with Lizzy Lou! She loves Blake! Seriously!

See how much she just loves him? They are really great friends

In Philadelphia at Benjamin Franklin's home....or the space that used to be his home.

This is in the senate and congress house in Philadelphia on Independence square.

The Senate room :)

This is constitution hall. Where the constitution was signed

Liberty square!

Outside liberty square -- that tower is where the liberty bell hung

Honestly....the best part of the day was running into Michelle and James. It was SO CRAZY! They live all the way in New Jersey....we were visiting Baltimore....and we both happened to be in Philadelphia that day!
We were walking across the street and heard some honking and I swear that I heard my name, but I was like "No way is someone yelling my name in Philadelphia. I don't know anyone here." So we proceed to cross the street and then about a half a block down we hear yelling and honking again, and I knew for sure I heard "JASON AND SHANDRA!!!" It was so fun to see here. She is one of my best friends from living down in Mesa, and it was fun to see her pregnant and so happy! What a great, totally unexpected surprise

Benjamin Franklin's tomb....Philly is all about Benjamin Franklin

And of course....eating a Philly Cheese steak.....

Yum!!

Jason liked Pat's

And I liked Geno's! (Thanks for the advice Michelle!)
It was a great jaunt to Philadelphia. The traffic was awful and it was super hot, but it was so great to see all the places you always hear about!
