- We drove 9.5 hours after work on Thursday to go to Mesa for our friend Steve's wedding in Mesa, AZ on Friday. We couldn't miss two days of work and school...so we got there at 4:00 am Friday morning. We were quite tired....but the sealing and reception were wonderful....and we spent saw and spent time with some of favorite people...we really miss our friends/family down in Mesa! We stayed up late every night, and had a great time!
Jason and I after the sealing
- Then, on Sunday we drove home, because I was supposed to work on Monday. We wanted to stop by my family in St. George. So we planned to meet up with my family and have dinner. I talked to my mom about 10 minutes out of St. George....then when I got there...THERE WAS AN AMBULANCE AND PARAMEDICS AT MY HOUSE!!!!
I was FREAKING OUT to say the least....we ran inside and found my dad unconscious. My mom said she thinks he had a siezure ( he had fallen two days before and hit his head). So I'm freaking out of course, and we all say a prayer as they are loading him in the ambulance. Then, we rush to the hospital as we call all of our siblings and have them and their families say prayers for him. Well, it wasn't too long before he became conscious (thank heavens!) at the hospital and was doing well, the doctor's said he was stable, and had always been breathing on his own which was good.
We went in and visited with him in his bay in the ER, and my mom and brothers and sisters encouraged Jason and I to get on the road to go home to Provo, and they would call if any complications arise. So, reluctantly we headed on the road.
We had just passed over the black ridge (about 50 miles North of St. George) and I laid back in the seat to just take a breather and relax after such a stressful and awful evening. Then all of a sudden I hear Jason say "OH FREAK..." and BAM!!!! Something hits the car....we swerve to the Left and yep....WE HIT A DEER!
SERIOUSLY???? MY WORD!!! The day just kept gettting worse and worse.....
So here is the damage!
Driving home this morning I saw a portion of the bumper off the side of the road.
Yep....That is Deer Hair stuck in our tire...Mmm hmm..
