AND...I'm 19 wks....
AND...she is a GIRL!!!!
I have been the WORST at blogging. I wanted to wait until I was through my 1st trimester, and then...I don't know...I just didn't blog for a while...and then we were so close to finding out what we were having I just though I would do it all at once!
Seeing our baby girl today was the most amazing experience. Seriously. I was just in tears. I don't think you can understand how great it is until you go through it.
She was moving around like crazy. The tech said they are hardly ever that active. She wouldn't hold still -- and its so CRAZY to think that is happening inside of me...because I don't feel any of it! Her little legs were kicking and her arms were moving around, all over the place. It was so awesome to see. Her heart looks great. Her lips and mouth are forming well. Her brain, legs, and all are measuring great. She is 9 oz! Over half a pound...what a fatty! hahaha
Seriously, it was such a great day...and one that Jason and I have waited for a while for....and my WORD was it worth the wait! Pure Joy...seriously. Especially because I really felt like she was a girl. EVERYONE else (except my brother Stephen) guessed boy! It was so fun. The tech was like..."Yeah, nothing between those legs!" I was elated. I would have loved a baby boy....of course!! But, I think because I felt like she was a girl, somehow I felt more connected -- like my motherly intuition has already begun to kick in. I know it really doesn't mean anything, but it made me feel that way anyway!
So, here are the ultrasound pictures. They never do it justice. But her Profile picture is especially adorable! Thanks all for reading this novel!
We are just so happy :)
Here is her Arm and Hand @ the top of the photo. Her little legs.
It's way hard to see on this picture. The top of her head is on the right and its like you are seeing an arial view of her head and legs. Her leg bones go from left to right and look like they are stacked on each other. She was moving like crazy....like she was trying to knee the ultrasound tech! It was so funny!
Tiny little foot @ the top -- pretty poor quality.
Her sweet little profile. Forehead on the rightand as you travel left, you can see a little bump of a nose and then lips and chin -- which is tucked into her chest -- the big bump on the left.
So....as I understand it...her legs are bowing out on the right and left sides...and her little cheeks are at the top w/ her pelvic area right in the middle...and nothing in between :) Happy Day!! Life is so good!
